Use / Administration
Although each herb in the protocol has it's synergistic meaning, it does not need to be applied at all costs. If you don't feel well after taking it, or you can't buy it, just skip it.
The basic protocol is relatively simple and can be used without the need to read books. However, if you are really serious about your treatment, we recommend that you buy and read these books:
• Healing Lyme - Natural Healing of Lyme Borreliosis and the Coinfections Chlamydia and Spotted Fever Rickettsioses, 2nd Edition
• Healing Lyme Disease Coinfections - Complementary and Holistic Treatments for Bartonella and Mycoplasma
• Natural Treatments for Lyme Coinfections - Anaplasma, Babesia, and Ehrlichia
You will learn not only "what" to do, but also "how", "when" and especially "why". The books describe in detail the mechanism of action of individual pathogens (microorganisms) as well as individual herbs. For every infection and co-infection, Mr. Buhner not only explains in detail the principles of operation of individual protocols, but also provides recipes for quick relief from specific symptoms.
By purchasing Mr. Buhner's books, you will also support his precise and quality work, which he has done for us and for which we are sincerely grateful.
Period of use
The total recommended protocol usage length is until the complete disappearance of symptoms + 2 extra months. On average, it is usually approx. 12 months. For someone less for someone more. It's very individual.
Most of the herbs in this protocol are safe for long-term use. However, some need to be taken intermittently. You should also take into account their possible side effects. Therefore, for each of them, read the description on our (or other) web-pages, in the Mr. Buhner's books and adjust your use accordingly.
Please be patient. First - slight improvement usually comes after approx. 3 months of use. A more noticeable long-term improvement through herbs usually does not come until several months to years later. On average after about 12 months. The longer a person has been ill, the longer the treatment lasts.
Units converter
As each type of herb and it´s way of processing has the own unique specifics, there is no universal (same for all kind of herbs) exact conversion ratio given for volume or weight measures. For this reason, for the sake of simplification in herbalism, the general dosage is given only as a guide, in non-exact units such as teaspoons or drops.
However, as our goal is to simplify calculation and use, we indicate the dosage in our products in milliliters (ml) and grams (g). However, these are really only indicative conversions.
Spoons:
1 teaspoon = 5 ml
1 tablespoon = 15 ml
Tinctures:
1 drop = 0.05 ml
1 ml = 20 drops
Herbal powders:
1 teaspoon (5ml) = 2g
1 tablespoon (15 ml) = 6g
